The Ancestor Index (AI) is a visual archive of Artist Hadiya Williams’ ancestral venerations, crafted in collaboration with MidJourney.
She uses her own handmade work to generate these one-of-a-kind images.
This index serves two purposes: firstly, they help Hadiya to explore and better understand her MidJourney AI generations, and secondly, it pays tribute to the incredible women who existed during the Great Migration.
